The business idea is sale and manufacturing of devices in a system that can be used to provide faster, safer and more transparent and controllable location, evacuation, tracking and identification of people, individually or in groups within large complex buildings, ships and other constructions.
Devices and system for dynamic and steerable emergency lighting and overruling of electronic locks is patented. Design and Trademark is pending.
1RTLS® is a supplement to today's fire and evacuation systems, and will, in contrast to today's passive light and sign systems allow a continuous real-time overview of the localization, identification and stearable guidance for people and thus give the opportunity to direct rescuers focus on areas / people who are hindered in escape / evacuation.
The system may also include a number, more administrative and business related functions, and various additional apps; including energy saving, based on the unique and individual RF identification.
The History of 1RTLS® begins when Lars and Magne Dahl discussed several serious disasters, caused by fire or other unforeseen accidents on land or at sea. And, not to mention, several terrorist attacks before and after the 9.11, several school shootings etc. - Lars asked the right question:
"What can we do, in order to help people evacuate faster, using the best and safest escape route?"
After some thinking we came up with some different solutions, discussed back and forth. Some month later we filed an application for patent and granted 2 years later.
Today our devices and system can be used to provide faster, safer and more transparent and controllable location or tracking, evacuation and identification of people, individually or in groups within large complex buildings, ships etc. for example fire, bomb threat,school shooting, earthquake and terrorist attack.
The system may also include a number of more regular administrative and business related functions and services, including energy saving. The same card can also be used as your own key, POS and e.g. for time recording.

Real-time locating systems (RTLS) are used to automatically identify and track the location of objects or people in real time, usually within a building or other contained area. Wireless RTLS tags are attached to objects or worn by people, and in most RTLS, fixed reference points receive wireless signals from tags to determine their location. Examples of real-time locating systems include tracking automobiles through an assembly line, locating pallets of merchandise in a warehouse, or finding medical equipment in a hospital.
The physical layer of RTLS technology is usually some form of radio frequency (RF) communication, but some systems use optical (usually infrared) or acoustic (usually ultrasound) technology instead of or in addition to RF. Tags and fixed reference points can be transmitters, receivers, or both, resulting in numerous possible technology combinations.
RTLS are a form of local positioning system, and do not usually refer to GPS or to mobile phone tracking. Location information usually does not include speed, direction, or spatial orientation.
